Photographer Profile: Jim Zipp

Jim Zipp has been photographing nature and wildlife for over twenty five years. His first published photogaph was a Saw-Whet Owl in the Audubon Society's Encyclopedia of North American Birds in 1980. Since then his work has appeared in numerous books, brochures, calendars, text-books, CD-ROM's as well as magazines including National Geographic, Birder's World, ABA's Birding, Wildbird, GEO, and the UK's Birdwatching to name a few. He has traveled throughout North America from Alaska to Mexico in search of images with Alaska being a favorite place to which he repeatedly returns.

When not out photographing the natural world he runs THE FAT ROBIN, a birding shop with his wife Carol.
