I originally got into photography as a good excuse to be out in beautiful landscapes. It is still a great excuse and I am out in the field any chance I get.

I primarily shoot large format 4x5 film. Large format provides unsurpassed print detail and exquisite tonal qualities not achievable in smaller formats. It is a lot of fun to bury your head under a dark cloth and look at a scene upside down and backwards on the big ground glass. It also impresses the tourists. I occasionally shoot high resolution digital images.
